Star Signs

We need some
brand new
star signs.
I am not a ram
despite the musk and horn
and you are not a scorpion
despite your fearsome sting.

My sign would be
a distant ship
tossed on the horns of waves.
You would be
a lighthouse
seeing me safely home.

Together, they would change again.
Together, our sign would be
two playful
kittens
being placed into a sack.
